About Iridescence
Iridescence opened on Friday 29th July 2005. The domain was originally chatoiement.com, which can still be used. The domain i-graphix.net was used from Saturday 18th November 2006, as an easier option as 'chatoiement'.
The Name
I liked the word Iridescence since my mum bought a glittery soap-like thing called an 'Iridescent Glitter Bug'. Unfortunately, iridescence.com/net etc. were already taken. So I translated 'irideascence' into French and got 'chatoiement', which when translated back into English gave me 'shimmering'.
After a while I decided chatoiement.com was too hard for people to remember so wanted to add another domain. I wanted i-graphics.net (as in 'Iridescence Graphics' or something), but that was taken, so Li suggested i-graphix.
